Friday's Letters

DEAR FRIDAY, since I decided to dub you 'H&M and new amazing German restaurant day' I have been looking forward to you all week. Please do not disappoint! DEAR GERMANY, I love that it's staying light out until 10 pm. Please keep this up for as long as possible! In fact, if you'd like, it doesn't even have to snow this winter!
DEAR DEPLOYMENT, You can suck it! I'm 2 weeks closer to having my husband back in my arms. We got this!
DEAR HUSBAND, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to see your face on Skype. Pixelated or not, it absolutely makes my day! Despite all the crap you're dealing with you still act like the goofy and caring man I know.
DEAR JIMMY FALLON, saying you are hilarious is an understatement. I love your constant giggling and spot on impressions. You jam to "Call Me Maybe' with Carly Rae Jepson & The Roots. Have Channing Tatum dress up like a girl. And get the PRESIDENT to slow jam the news. In my opinion you absolutely OWN Late Night TV.
DEAR HUSBAND, despite the love fest above-- don't worry I love you wayyy more than Jimmy Fallon.

How exciting to be living in Germany! How do you like it so far?

1. Isn't H&M here the best?! 2. I also love that it stays light out so late. Reminds me of home [MN]. 3. Deployments are the worst. Even counting weeks makes it drag so badly! If it helps, I just use events. Like: I went home for a bit, so got to look forward to that. Now, my anniversary is in a couple weeks, then my best friend flies out to visit, then he'll be home! Makes it feel a little faster, but that might just be the weird way my brain works. Hope the rest of it goes by quickly! You can do it :)

Visiting from Friday Letters. So exciting that you are counting down the days until you get to see your husband, I admire army wives so much. I don't know if I could live in a different country & deal with deployments, hope the next 2 weeks fly by!

Deployments are tough...my husband is a Marine and we've just had short ones so far...sounds like you're keeping busy in Germany though-). I hope your next 2 weeks fly by and your time together makes time stop! Look forward to following along and thank you for your service-spouses sacrifice for our country too-). Found you on Friday's Letters!

It was right around the 2 week down mark that I started feeling like I had a better handle on deployment. Hang in there!
